Item Description
SODALITE & 925 STERLING SILVER
1.5" IN LENGTH
Made in NYC.
After working as a textile designer for Proenza Schouler and Calvin Klein, Sapir Bachar established her jewelry label in 2019.
The NYC-based jeweler creates bold yet effortless jewelry by reorganizing and reconfiguring artifacts from different cultures and eras. Memory, identity, and place play a central role in the brand's output, using abstraction and fragmentation to create new shapes and new context, collapsing the distance between the past and the present and the permeability of memory.
Combining these inspirations, Sapir Bachar makes jewelry that looks familiar and new at the same time. Made by hand using fine jewelry techniques and traditional folklore craft methods, the pieces are a modern take on relics of the past.
The unique pieces are both empowering and feminine, meant for the everyday woman.
