Item Special Note
Moxie Arts puts the untold stories of women+ front and center. In 14th Street, the residents of the 14th Street/8th Avenue subway station have built an unconventional community. Raquel and Naomi busk between waiting tables, Oliver plays chess when he doesn’t have a gardening gig, and everyone helps Maria take care of her daughter Elena. But when a mysterious intruder threatens their delicate equilibrium and Elena goes missing, this makeshift family finds themselves up against not just her abductor, but an indifferent world.
Dusky Projects produces the Black Women are Scary podcast on the last weekend of every month, in a living room to be announced. The evening's host and guests gather over drinks to read new works of sci-fi and horror and discussing freaks, fears and phobias in what might be one of the weirdest dinner parties ever. Reserve your tickets for April 25th to receive location information.
New Perspectives Theatre Company is an award-winning theatre company founded in 1991 as a multi-racial ensemble dedicated to using theatre as an agent for positive social change. The Women's Works Short Play Festival runs August 10-15, 2020 at NPTC Studio. Two passes entitle you and a friend to attend both Program A and B and see all plays in the festival.
