Cass Winery is a boutique winery in the heart of Paso Robles, specializing in Rhone varietals. Cass was named 2015 and 2018 Winery of the Year for its exceptional selection of wines by the Central Coast Wine Competition.

The Cass Estate Vineyard, located southeast of the town of Paso Robles, exemplifies the quality of the Paso Robles region with its warm days, cool coastal breezes, and exceptional soils. Resting at 900 feet of elevation, the 145-acre vineyard is planted to 12 varieties on a large terrace above the Huer Huero River. Deposited over centuries, the diverse alluvial soils make for an expressive site that produces fruit of incredible quality.

2012 Cass Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

"Opaque ruby. Heady aromas of dark berries, smoky minerals and incense are lifted by a suggestion of black pepper. Sweet, dense and seamless on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, with juicy acidity giving focus to the sweet plum jam and blueberry flavors. A smoky note builds in the glass and carries through a long, juicy finish that's framed by smooth, slow-building tannins. This suave wine is surprisingly approachable but clearly has the material for aging." 91 Points - Vinous

2013 Cass Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Savory and sensual; aromatic herbs, black currants, and dried dates segue to earthy dimensions of freshly milled cedar and an elusive essence of vintage leather. Tiered tannin and soft layers of acidity create a cathedralled foundation highlighting black cherry compote and vanilla cassis. An alluring complexity of baker's chocolate, espresso bean and Walnut Toffee frame an elegantly integrated and lingering finish. 2014 Cass Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Opens with beautifully lifted aromatics of fresh spearmint, black cherry compote, sugar plum and hints of chocolate hazelnut crunch. A round, supple entry leads to a silky smooth mid-palate. Crème de cassis, blueberry reduction, cedar cigar box and toasted oak complement the baked black and ripe red fruit essence. Fine grained, age-worthy tannin provides structure to the persistant, juicy finish. Enjoy now until 2026.
