Item Description
"Marine Life"
25 endangered marine species native to the Puget Sound - including a long timer to the endangered list, the sea otter, and a recent addition, the pinto abalone - beautifully sketched and watercolor painted by Mrs. Edwards' 3rd grade class. During the creative process, not only did the students learn about the principles of art and design and art history, but were also reminded of human activities that affect the extinction of species. Inspired by the artist, Charley Harper, all species were intentionally made the same size to emphasize their equal significance in the world.
