Item Description
Mixed media on raised panel. This piece is made using oil and acrylic paints, antique papers, China crayon, and a vintage photo the artist colorized with paint. The elephant image is from a 19th century spelling book and the edges of this piece are papered with a handwritten recipe book.
Size: 10 x 10 inches
From the Artist: "I'm an artist in the SF Bay Area. I've been collecting antique and vintage ephemera for years, and I love using it in my work. Nothing inspires me more than making art that helps contribute to the care of our beloved animal friends."
About the Artist: My paintings and mixed media pieces are an expression of my inner life and what interests me. It is important to me that each piece is intriguing, yet also evokes feelings of peacefulness and balance.
My creative process is a relationship between myself, imagination, and the materials. I do very little planning and allow each piece to emerge.
