Item Description
Medium: Wooden peg dolls, washi paper, paint
Process: Each student was given a peg doll. They drew on faces and hair and stained the dolls. Then they chose the patterns of the kimonos or happi coats and dressed the dolls. The dolls are presented in two groups, on shelves that can be displayed in rows on the wall or as one long shelf.
Inspiration: Traditional kokeshi dolls and Japanese pattern design.
