Item Description

Enjoy a two-night stay at the historical Farmington Country Club located in Charlottesville, Virginia. What is now the Clubhouse was originally a spacious plantation house with an elongated wing that contained several guest rooms for the Divers’ extended family. It was originally designed by Thomas Jefferson and completed in 1803. Sitting in the midst of 275 acres of gardens and carefully manicured grounds and golf course all you need to do is relax and enjoy and take in the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. When you step into one of our elegant guest rooms, you feel as if you’ve stepped back into the days of Thomas Jefferson. Each of Farmington’s 40 guest rooms and suites is appointed in Colonial-era décor and furnishings, and each has its own distinct character. For many members, these rooms have become their home away from home — they feel as if they’re staying with family or old friends when they visit.

Depending on the room you choose, you might enjoy a decorative fireplace and mantel, historic architecture or a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains or golf course. With the southern charm of a Virginia bed and breakfast and the amenities of a full-service country club, you’ll find both relaxation and excitement in perfect balance when you stay at Farmington.

Each room includes an LCD TV, hairdryer, telephone, wireless internet access. Complimentary coffee and tea are available for your convenience in the North Bar in the Clubhouse each morning and breakfast in the Farmington Grill.

Golf and tennis are available but are not included in this donation. Dates selected must be during the week (M-Th) and based on the availability of Clubhouse. Certain holidays and UVA events may affect availability. www.farmingtoncc.com

Area attractions include Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, James Monroe's Highland, James Madison's Montpelier, the University of Virginia, unique shopping, delicious dining, wonderful wineries & breweries, nearby towns of Crozet & Orange as well as beautiful hiking areas.
