Carl Funseth was born in 1931 and raised in Spokane, Washington. Oil is his favorite medium, Basically a self-taught artist, he paints realism with an impressionistic touch. His works range from landscapes, seascapes and portraits to architectural buildings and street scenes both current and historic.
Carl showed his works the month of December 1990 at the Frye Art Museum in Seattle. The one-man show featured 54 of his original paintings including the popular Old Seattle Series, a collection of scenes of Seattle in the early 1900’s
