Item Description
This crafted jewelry package comes from the African nation of Namibia from CCF's Arts & Crafts program from the Himba and the Greater Waterberg Landscape Collection.
Package includes:
- Ostrich necklace
- Ostrich coin purse
- 24" handcrafted belt with fine beading
- Rare "SAVE THE CHEETAH" brown leather wrap bracelet
These items are traditional pieces of the Himba Tribe, crafted from locally sourced ostrich leather, shell, iron and copper. The Himba peoples are considered to be the last semi-nomadic indigenous people of the country of Namibia, and the Himba continue to wear these items as symbols of rich cultural tradition, worn by men and women to indicate status within their communities. Namibia is not only home to the Himba, but is home of the CCF in the Cheetah Capital of the World.
When you purchase these items, the proceeds help sustain the livelihoods of the woman, children, men, and communities of Namibia. Saving cheetahs, saving people.
Item Special Note
Donated by CCF Namibia and the kind artisans of Namibia.
