Item Description
In Memory of Bella is an oil painting by by Deidre Ranger. The artist painted Bella smiling, because even though she lived a horrific life, she had a few days of happiness at Wildlife SOS.
Oil and pastel on sanded board, frame included.
Size: 11” x 14”
About Bella: Bella was found in deplorable shape on a street corner, breathing heavy and covered with wounds (bedsores, septic wounds, and gangrenous feet). Our vet team had to stabilize Bella before she could be transported to the Wildlife SOS hospital.
Once there, we showed her tenderness and love, and gave her everything we could, but after only two weeks, she passed away. She was just too weak after the 60 years of neglect and abuse.
I love that the artist captured Bella smiling during one of her foot soaks at Wildlife SOS.
About the Artist: Deidre is a talented artist living in Tacoma, Washington. She does not sell her art professionally but enjoys donating pieces to animal rescue organizations to help them raise money.
