Item Description

"Russ Mallory was my guitar teacher for many years... I'm in The Beatles tribute business.... And if it wasn't for Russ I would NOT have become the success and I am today. Russ fostered me through all the intricacies of the John Lennon guitar parts. Russ's knowledge and patience helped me to really channel John Lennon on stage. I've performed all over the world. I've performed at Candlestick Park and at Dodger Stadium. There are many songs in particular that I think of Russ each time I perform them on stage. Not only did Russ teach me, He sold me one of his prized guitars because he knew that I would need it...Its a Beatle guitar and I indeed used that guitar ('63 Epiphone Casino) in my performance at Candlestick park. Thanks Russ. You're the greatest." - Joe R.

For kids and adults!  Both my girls learned guitar from Russ.  He is patient, knowledgable and fun. - Robin, POPs Mom

Learn to Play the Guitar!
Performing, composing, and teaching since 1970, I know how to guide an individual toward the fastest path to success on guitar. Whether that means playing 3-chord songs around the campfire, or headlining at Staples Center. Books & videos are great, but they can't tailor a learning program to your needs. Only a seasoned Pro can do that.

STYLES I TEACH...
From Elvis and Chuck Berry, the Beach Boys, Yardbirds, Kinks, Beatles, Stones, Who, Hendrix, Byrds, Clapton, Zeppelin, Doors, Jefferson Airplane, The Dead, to The Eagles, Doobie Brothers, James Taylor, ZZ Top, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Allman Brothers, Donovan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Neil Diamond to...Well, you get the idea - Classic Rock. But also Country music, from Johnny Cash to Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Glen Campbell, Hoyt Axton, Roy Clark, Danny Gatton, to modern guys like Brad Paisley...Let's not forget Peter, Paul & Mary, John Denver, Bob Dylan...And progressive rock like YES, Kansas, Jethro Tull, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer...Not to mention Steely Dan, who are a category all to themselves.
