Item Description
This creation weaves many different antique pieces--among them a recipe for pie pastry, an old class picture, photographs of soldiers before they left for World War I, bits of handwritten letters--creating a tapestry of nostalgia for a seemingly more-innocent time and regret for what we cannot experience.
As DeVivo says, the complexity of his work hides the depths and shadows, leaving you always with further to explore, more to discover in each piece.
This collage, "Making Pastry," is 17" x 17" square, loosely attached to black mounting board.
