Item Description
This is an original acrylic painting by Belinda Stewart. Elvis was brought to the Agra Bear Rescue Facility, after being rescued from the hands of cruel poachers who were about to smuggle him when he was a two-month old cub. He was hand-reared at the center by our expert keepers and has grown up to be a jovial and extremely social bear. After he got over his initial apprehension, this playful and energetic bear emerged as the most mischievous one in our care. He loves climbing trees, often having to be coaxed down with his favorite treats: fruit and honey. Elvis has many friends, but he’s particularly sweet on Rose. He loves climbing trees with her and sharing watermelons and coconuts.
Size: 4” x 6”
About the Artist: Belinda Stewart lives in St Augustine, Florida. She works in all mediums but favors watercolors. She studied in private classes with famed watercolorist Mun Quan and art classes at Jacksonville University.
"I got hooked on Wildlife SOS with the first rescue attempt of sweet Mohan. Since being retired, it has been pure joy seeing a picture posted at various elephant and bear sanctuaries and setting it aside to become inspiration for my watercolors. All work is on professional Arches watercolor paper."
