Item Description

This cult classic is a fun piece of history that may invoke memories of a cheery holiday morning with family, the first thrilling chords strummed while sitting in your childhood bedroom, or perhaps the jubilant ruckus created by that garage band you formed with your friends. It still has a lot of life in it, although it carries normal wear and tear that is typical of an instrument this age. This Silvertone was made in Japan and features a short-scale bolt-on neck; two single coil pickups; a spring-loaded whammy bar system; and controls for volume, tone, and pickup selection. It sports a sunburst finish and cream-colored binding that remain gorgeous to this day. Does not include the guitar stand shown in the photos.

Item Special Note

Notes on condition: As might be expected from an instrument this age, the guitar could use a setup and some TLC from a technician or guitar lover. The instrument is functional and produces a signal when plugged in. It has a handful of dead notes above the 12th fret and it could probably use a truss rod adjustment and a once-over on the electronic connections. The pickup selector plastic cap is missing, the pickguard has cracked and been repaired, and the frets are worn from 50-ish years of play. This is a well-used instrument that carries a lot of history -- as such, it is being sold AS-IS. This item cannot be shipped.
