Item Description
The lucky winner of this auction item will take home a lovely quilt made by the prisoners of Monroe Corrections Complex.
The Community Aide Coalition program is designed to provide the men serving time with opportunities for improvement and to engage in positive activities by creating items to donate to Community nonprofit organizations. The prisoners hold bake sales to raise the funds needed to purchase the fabric and other supplies. They donate over 1,000 quilts a year to local community service groups, in addition to toys, hats and other items. Participation is earned and is purely by choice. The men enjoying giving back to the community.
The Quilt is 94" wide x 106" long, approximately the size of a Queen/King size bed. The workmanship is precise and the quilt is beautiful.
