Get your dream design project started with a 2-hour consultation with architect Robert Kahn.
Prior to founding his own practice in New York in 1986, Robert Kahn worked for James Stirling, Michael Wilford & Associates in London where he was Senior Designer for the Performing Arts Center at Cornell University. He has worked on numerous collaborations with the artist Frank Stella, most notably the Costantini Museum Competition, a private museum in Buenos Aires, Argentina and a museum in the Negev for Ronald Lauder.
Kahn is a fellow of the American Academy in Rome and has received numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Washington University School of Architecture and the Glassman Prize for Design Excellence from Yale University.
Kahn’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, House & Garden, Metropolitan Home, The New York Times Magazine, and The New York Times, H.O.M.E, among many other publications. He taught design at Columbia University, Ohio State University, and Yale University where he held a Davenport Chair Professorship.
Kahn’s clients include many from the creative arts, including artist Frank Stella, actors Kevin Kline and Phoebe Cates, Daniel Day-Lewis and Rebecca Miller, and Mary-Louise Parker; playwright David Mamet; directors Wes Anderson and Nicholas Hytner; musician Adam Duritz; and the Classic Stage Company and Lincoln Center theaters. He was selected by Richard Meier to be one of thirty-six international architects to design a house for “Houses at Sagaponack” in Sagaponack, New York.
