The Grocers' Hand-book and Directory for 1886. Artemas Ward, Editor of the Philadelphia Grocer. 305pp. 15 full color lithographs
of vegetables and meats. 20 b&w woodprints. Illustrated endpages. Very Good condition with minor wear at top of spine an mild soiling to cloth coverd covers. A beautiful relic of grocery stores of yore with entries arranged alphabetically on virtually every item and subject dealt with by grocers. Some, such as tea, sugar, coffee, have extensive sections which include their history and global production.Gilt title on spine and Hire's Root Beer ad embossed on the back cover. Scarce.
