Item Description
Merino wool, margilan silk, natural dyes. 7.5"W x 7'L
Mary’s love of wool began after college while working at a couple of small sheep and fiber farms in central Massachusetts. Following in her grandmother’s footsteps Mary was learning to weave but discovered felt-making along the way and hasn’t looked back since. It is as much the culture as the craft she has fallen in love with, and it’s this curiosity that has taken her to Kyrgyzstan to live and study. Having grown up without using her hands, she is now dedicated to teaching others to wake up their own capacity to create. She is especially interested in creating beautiful felt for everyday life and loves making large rugs with lots of people.
