Growing up on a farm in the North Woods, Cody has always led a hands-on lifestyle. While traveling, he took a great interest in the way that people lived long ago and how those traditions still survive in the world today. WIth the fine balance of art and function, design, and utility, steel seemed to be the perfect medium to work. As a blacksmith, he apprenticed under David Hanson. Bringing hammer to hand, steel to anvil, and turning billet to knife he is grateful to share in teaching the art he loves.
