Artist: Steve Lyons
Steve Lyons's work has fast become some of the most recognized art in the USA and Europe and is highly noted for creating what is internationally known as "sculptural paintings." This breakthrough technique utilizes heavy impasto to create heightened dimensionality on the canvas, and has captured the attention of critics, collectors, artists and the general public across the globe. His primary residency is in Chatham, MA, and you can see his work at his Studio & Gallery in Chatham, MA. You can also find his work at Bankside Contemporary, Westport, CT.
Most recently, Steve was a featured artist in the 2019 ST-ART the Contemporary Art Fair in Strasbourg, France. For the last four years, the Top 20 Galleries in America have honored Lyons with American Art Awards for outstanding achievements, naming him one of the Top two Abstract Impressionism Painters in 2019 for “Tide at Morning”; Third in Abstract for “Songs from Another Universe”
