Item Description
Family members provide over 75% of caregiving support in the U.S. At Schurig Center, we recognize the enormous pressures and risks of family caregiving—burnout, compromised health, depression and depletion of financial resources. This is a daily reality for millions of American families and it poses a great strain on the caregiver, many of whom are struggling to balance work and family responsibilities.
Your $2,500 gift helps provide supportive services for caregivers and family members, like a monthly Support Group.
Schurig Center's Caregiver and Family Member Support Group provides a supportive, educational environment to enhance the caregiver’s and the family’s understanding of the cognitive, emotional and life changes resulting from a brain injury, concussion or stroke. It also provides an opportunity to be with others who understand the unique challenges that families living with the effects of brain injury face.
Thank you for helping to ensure no one has to recover from brain injury alone!
