Item Description
This handcrafted tapestry will brighten up any room in your home with its intricate and unique design. Measuring 18 in x 25.5 in (45.7 cm x 65 cm), this beautiful tapestry is the perfect decoration.
This tapestry was made in the traditional tentmakers, or khayyamiya, style. Khayyamiya, derived from the Arabic word for tent, is a technique that is popular among Egyptian tentmakers in local bazaars. The technique involves overlaying sailcloth with embroidery and colorful designs. While these designs were originally geared towards tents and pavilions, today they are used to make decorative indoor pieces as well as clothing.
