Item Description
William Gordon Winery, Cloverdale
Mixed Case 2007 & 2010 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
William Gordon Winery cultivates their grapes on the eastern slopes of the northern end of the Alexander Valley, the premier Cabernet appellation of Sonoma County.
Their winemaking philosophy is to make a premium quality Cabernet in small quantity with grapes picked at optimal ripeness. The hillside vineyard provides well drained soil that keeps yields low, producing the highest quality fruit.
Both vintages are Double Gold medal winners, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
The 2007 has a harmonious profile of blackberries, blueberries, chocolate and sweet tobacco. This full-bodied wine is powerful on the palate with a tremendous long finish. Only 325 cases produced.
The 2010 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has pronounced aromas of toast, vanilla and blackberry. On the palate, there is spicy black fruit and cassis flavor with balanced oak and acid. Elegant soft black fruit finish. Will age well. 550 cases produced.
