Item Description
4 c 4/4 Tamarack Knees, milled from the root stock of Tamarack trees. Can be used with wooden boat construction, furniture, or anything creative and wooden you can imagine!
J.W. Swan & Sons is located on the South shore of Lake Superior in Northern Wisconsin, and specializes in building and restoring wooden boats and canoes, felling and milling custom timbers and teaching workshops.
Josh Swan has been building and restoring wooden boats professionally for nearly 20 years. He first began learning his craft at the International Yacht Restoration School, a two year vocational school in Newport, Rhode Island in 2000. From there, he worked for two seasons as the boatbuilder in residence at the Adirondack Museum. He’s taught at UW Madison, The Great Lakes Boatbuilding School, and spent the fall of 2006 working at the Hardanger Fartoyvernsenter in Norheimsund, Norway.
