Item Description
This summer BCHS acquired a very rare Cramer Organ, a keyboard instrument made in Corvallis in the early 20th century. The Cramer Organ and Carriage Factory was a Corvallis business from 1901-1904.
The organ arrived in good condition, but it needs the attention of our conservator, Tom Fuller. Tom has worked extensively on our collections, and has treated most of the objects that will be on display in the Corvallis Museum.
A museum conservator is a professional responsible for the preservation of artistic and cultural artifacts. Conservators possess the expertise to preserve cultural heritage in a way that retains the integrity of the object, including its historical significance, context and aesthetic or visual aspects.
Please help us fund our conservator, Tom Fuller, for one month's work on our Cramer Organ and other objects in our collections.
Item Special Note
Recognition will be given in BCHS newsletter, The Society Record, or the sponsor/s may remain anonymous if they so desire.
