Item Description
Generously donated by United Steel Workers' Union Local #13214, this baseball jacket, size large, is made from a vintage red satin and is perfect for anyone looking to rep union workers in style!
The back panel features the original insignia of the National United Steel Workers' Union, which can be verified through its inclusion of the circle of individual lines surrounding the inner logo. These lines represent the deep history of the union, showcasing the events that ultimately lead to the union's formation in 1942. When the steelworkers worked to organize, they were told by the factory owners that starting at the top of the list, anyone who signed their name would be fired on the spot. And so, in a show of tremendous unity and strength, the workers signed their name in a circle, making sure no one worker could be singled out.
Take a piece of labor history home with you today and rest assured that your union brothers and sisters will always have your back.
