Item Description
A one hour Zoom voice lesson with Lucy Beck, BM, MS at her voice studio in Lafayette, California.
Mrs. Beck has a long career as an innovator in teaching singing. Realizing that it takes a community of dedicated professionals to create a competitive singer, she created and for 14 years directed SummerSong, an intensive training program that offered talented young singers a comprehensive experience in what it takes to become a professional singer.
In 2010, Lucy wrote a little book used by many voice teachers and singers titled “The Magic of Singing; Tips and Tricks for Developing your Singing Voice” Although not available online now, she will donate the book to the winner of the lesson.
She is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and of its San Francisco Bay Area Chapter, where she was program chair for 4 years.
Singing professionally in the Bay Area was an important part of Lucy Beck’s life for many years. She is now focusing on sharing her love for the vocal art form with her students who continue to inspire her, and also photography, a different way to express beauty for the wonders around us.
