Item Description
The Rustic Riders craft their sound with music old and new. In concerts, at libraries and school, they invite you to sing, move, reflect and renew. The Rustic Riders share new songs with traditional roots and fresh arrangements of old songs and traditional tunes.
Our music reflects our love and life in the Adirondacks for the past 40 years. We have been performing for 20 years and among many places, have played at the HPIC numerous times and at Caffe Lena.
Our next CD - nearly completed before COVID includes songs about our former neighbor Clarence Petty, Tupper Lake History, Goodman Mountain and Loons (written for the Adk Loon Center)
Who We Are:
In 2006, Lisa Meissner began writing the songs that are featured on the Rustic Riders CD’s. She performs with voice, cello, guitar, mandolin, bouzouki and tenor banjo. She loves leading song writing workshops. Klaus Meissner provides the percussive foundations. Together, they create their distinctive sound.
Item Special Note

"The message is as strong as the music is beguiling” - Bill McKibben
“What a wonderful and joyful sound" - Bill Hahn (WFDU-FM, NJ)
