Item Description
We are excited to offer three unique additions to our 2020 auction, thanks to the generosity of our donor, Martha Collard. A note from the donor about these items:
"Labyrinth pendants made by Susan Hood, a glass bead maker of some renown who is sadly now unable to continue her craft due to deteriorating eyesight.
How they came to being…..
After completing the labyrinth retreat and workshops in facilitation and labyrinth building over 10 years ago I flew to Nova Scotia to visit my parents. When I met Su the next day and she heard of where I had been she grabbed my arm, took me upstairs to her studio and presented me with the prototype of this bead. She had recently received a commission for a glass ’touch stone’ with a labyrinth design. The swirl design is inspired by cameos from Italy while the back has a full 11 circuit Chartres labyrinth path etched on the surface.
It is a wonderful one of a kind keepsake to share and wear to constantly remind us of our own journey on the path called life. These three pendants are obviously limited edition made with love and serve as a reminder that we never can predict what the next turn in our journey will offer."
