Item Description

Lost Landmarks of the Old Pueblo:

Ken Scoville is the ultimate authority on Tucson history and has been giving walking tours of the area since 1985.

With the aid of photographs and maps Ken will share the locations and stories of lost historic places including the homes of Territorial Governor Louis Hughes, bankers Lionel and Barron Jacobs, and founder of the Temple of Music and Art, Madeline Heinman. Also some very early Territorial-era locations including the Butterfield State stop, the Cosmopolitan Hotel, the Pima County Courthouse where the Camp
Grant Massacre trial was held and the first San Augustin Cathedral.

Some famous lost locations on Congress Street will include the Plaza Theater, the opera House, the Congress Street School and the first Jacome's department store. The tour will end at the site of the grande dame of Tucson, the Santa Rita Hotel!

For up to 8 people. Great for family or a group of friends.  This tour requires walking and standing.  The tour will not be scheduled until Spring 2021 due to Covid.
