Item Description
Jesus Garcia is a local ethno-botanist and founder of the Kino Heritage Fruit Tree project. He has handcrafted this devil’s-claw scorpion and devil`s claw centerpiece/basket.
It all begins with sowing the seeds of the devil’s claw plant (Proboscidea parviflora).
The bundle design follows the traditional way of storing devil`s claw seed pods for use as fibers in basketry.
At the end of the process, the seeds also become the finishing touch, the scorpion’s eyes.
