Item Description
Located on the National Register of Historic Places in downtown Mankato, this 1886 Queen Anne style Victorian home is historically known as the Hunt House, built by the founder of the Mankato Free Press, Lewis and Lisbeth Hunt.
Restored by Chris Crowell and Kristin Fisher, the Moulin Rouge House will open as a bed and breakfast in early 2021. You can be one of the first guests to enjoy its historic beauty and comfortable accommodations. Each room has an en-suite bathroom and climate controlled heat and air conditioning.
The bed and breakfast was named after the Moulin Rouge Beauty Shop located in the home's parlor starting in 1938 until 2015.

Auction Policy
- A 5% buyers premium will be added to all winning bids at the close of the auction.
- You will be notified by email if you won an item. All auctions are final.
- All physical items will be available for pick up at the Blue Earth County History Center, 424 Warren Street, Mankato, starting Tuesday, November 10. Hours: Tuesday-Friday 10 am-4 pm. Special pick up times can be arranged.
- Certificates and vouchers can be mailed to the winning bidder at no extra cost.
- Shipping of larger items can all be arranged. Fees may apply.
- All winning auction bids and donations will be processed at noon on Monday, November 9. If you wish to change your method of payment to check, cash or a card different from the one on file, please notify BECHS before then.
