Item Description
These lightweight, hand made earrings were crafted from the old cottonwood trees that graced "Poplar Alley" at Shelburne Farms for over a century. Once cut down, the wood from the trees was reclaimed, milled, and has been brought back to life by local craftspeople!
"Poplar has many interesting characteristics; the rich reddish tint and softness of the bark is coveted by wood carvers, while the wood can have a variety of colors adding to its beauty."
These beauties were made by Reed Prescott at Verde Mountain in Bristol Vermont
They are very lightweight and exremely unique. See more work by Reed Prescott at: http://www.prescottgalleries.com or look for his jewelry in his Etsy Shop: www.etsy.com under the name: vthillpainter
