2-2.5 hour intro to Bee Keeping by Beekeeper Cecilia Infante at the Bee Warriors Apiary. Includes consultation on first steps to keeping a colony, a varietal honey tasting, and your choice of a jar of honey to bring home.
In spring 2021, you will set up a time with the beekeeper for your visit.
$425.00 2-2.5 hours @$150 per hour.
Are you interested in honey bees and beekeeping? Or do you just love honey and fresh-cut honeycomb? Come enjoy an afternoon on our bee farm in Washtenaw County, just north of Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti. We have over 80 hives (70,000-80,000 bees in each one) and produce many natural products from our bees--including honey, propolis, beeswax, and therapeutic honey infusions.
Two beekeepers will mentor you through the beginning steps of beekeeping, how to set up a hive, what equipment to order, and conclude with a honey tasting session and your choice of a jar to bring home.
