Item Description

Enhanced Photography Canvas Print (24"x30").

On 09/06/2018, my daughter, Whitney Austin, became the victim of a mass shooter as she entered the revolving door of the Fountain Square 5/3 Bank in Cincinnati. Having been shot a number of times, she fell inside the door. As she attempted to use her phone to get help the shooter returned, firing again. In all, twelve bullets struck her body. Weakened, her lungs filling with blood, with no apparent rescue at hand, she began to make her peace with God. But, within a matter of seconds the police took down the shooter. Officer Al Staples risk his life to carry Whitney to safety. In this print I do not see fear in my daughter's eyes. I see determination; a determination to see her children. A kind and considerate person, Whitney is not one to make demands of others. But, when her life hung in the balance, she demanded of everyone, the police, EMTs and hospital staff that they save her life. She was determined to live and willed others to save her life. My wife and I feel so blessed to have two wonderful daughters. We raised two magnificent women. To Whitney, God gave the miracle of life twice. We are so thankful. We are so proud of Whitney. Whitney/Strong!

The Officer featured in this piece of art is Al Staples, he is a long-time friend of TCT.  Al worked our School Performances at the Taft, getting the students in and out safely.
