Home & Garden
This Japanese style noren linen curtain from BuildLifeShop is 100% handmade from pure organic handwoven ramie. The beautiful graphic motifs on it are all hand embroidered.
The curtain has a number of traditional uses. It can be hung in an open doorway, window, bookshelf, partition, or as a wall decoration.
The fabric is light and semi-transparent so that light and breeze can pass through, bringing in fresh air and natural feeling to your space.
The curtain has 2 pieces which are stitched together at the top as shown in the picture. The listed measurement is for the two pieces joined together; the rod is not included.
This natural and elegant looking curtain was sourced from a handcraft workshop that was discovered by BuildLifeShop in the Weishan Old Town, Yunnan Province of China. It was once the birthplace of an ancient kingdom, today still remains to be a really original and authentic place, where the well-kept ancient art is preserved and passed down from one generation to another in the family crafts workshop. Hand fabric dyeing and embroidering are well-preserved craftsmanship in this area. All using natural dyes obtained from natural plants grown locally, the secret dying technique brings a delicately beautiful color palette to the natural fabrics.
Says Cindy of BuildLifeShop, "I love what I am doing, believe in what I am doing, and trust everything I need will come at the perfect time. To discover and share the beautiful moments or objects is what I love, that's why I am here to have this shop and hope to meet you here my dear friends."
