Slow and gentle Sun (soon) style Tai Chi movements involve strengthening, balance, mobility, postural alignment and mindfulness to help relieve pain, reduce stress and cultivate the flow of Qi, the life energy that circulates throughout the body and is the root of vitality, energy and uplifting the spirit. The course contains a carefully constructed set of warming-up and cooling-down exercises, Qigong breathing exercises, and six core movements. Movements are modified as needed and is appropriate for individuals with arthritis and other chronic conditions.
LaNay is TCHI Certified for instruction in Tai Chi for Arthritis, Fall Prevention and Tai Chi for Health and Wellness; ASFA Certified Senior Fitness; Cardio-Balance Movement Fusion; Silver Sneaker Flex; and, Low Impact Line Dance 50 +.
