Brittany Birnie Greene takes great pleasure in getting to know her clients, so that she can prepare estate planning documents that reflect the clients' wishes and make their intentions clear.
This gift certificate covers one "Trust Package", including Trust, Certification of Trust, Will(s), Durable Power(s) of Attorney, Advance Health Care Directive(s) and one California property deed.
Our process for new trusts and estate planning documents is that we send you a worksheet to complete before your first appointment. Then, during the initial telephone appointment, we go over the worksheet to get the information we need to prepare your documents. After the initial appointment, the documents are drafted and mailed to you for your review prior to a follow-up telephone appointment, during which we review the documents, explain them in 'plain English', and ensure that they represent your wishes. Then, about 2-3 weeks later you come in to execute and notarize the documents in person at our office in Sebastopol. A few weeks later, you will receive an indexed binder of your signed documents.
Any additional work is billed at our hourly rates of $350/hour for attorney time or $145/hour for staff time; additional California real property deeds are billed at flat fee of $100 each. Fees do not include any outside expenses (preparation of out-of-state deeds charged by a deed preparation service and recording deeds or other instruments as part of the estate plan) which are billed at cost. Processing of out-of-state deeds are charged at the staff hourly rate. Payment for additional fees, if any, and costs are due at the time of signing. Fees for all other work, including amendments, updates, reviews, estate tax planning and travel time will be based on time spent and charged at hourly rates.
