Item Description
Apple orchards dot the hillsides of the Nashua River valley, part of the iconic landscape of the region. This print, after a watercolor by the late Bayard Underwood, depicts Hillbrook Orchard in Groton, MA, a landscape that has been lost to time. Bayard Underwood was a long-time Groton resident and notable architect.
This watercolor depicts the orchard in early spring, when the apple trees have budded but not yet blossomed. You can smell the rain soon to come from the heavy gray skies.
Painting is signed Bayard Underwood '02. Matted, with wooden frame. Image measures 13" W x 9 3/4 L. With frame measures 19" W x 15 1/2" L.
