Portrait of Stewart Hoyt's ducks at the Hoyt's farm (now Joe's Brook Farm) in Barnet, Vermont.
This painting is part of a series Patty worked on in the 1990s, which focused on portraits of farm animals owned by her neighbors and friends.
About the Artist:
Patty Mucha has lived in Vermont for 44 years, working primarily as a painter and writer. Patty was involved with Catamount Arts for 11 years. During that time, she was the gallery curator, worked in arts education, and organized trips to various arts institutions. Before moving to Vermont, Patty lived and worked in New York City as an active participant in the Pop Art movement of the 1960s. She assisted then-husband Claes Oldenburg with his art installations. She also participated in numerous Happenings-performances of experimental theater. Patty is currently writing her memoir.
