Item Description
"Lucky Elephant" is an acrylic on wood painting donated and created by artist Jenny Schneider. Elephants symbolize good fortune, wisdom and unity and this little orange elephant adds a splash of fun!
Jenny is an artist, author, illustrator and yoga teacher living outside of Boston with her family. She is also the mom of two Plugged In students.
She grew up in Germany, lived for 4 years in Mexico City, where she received a BA in Psychology but also started her journey into painting. From there she moved on to Cambridge, Ma to study at Lesley University. She holds a MA in Art Therapy and has studied many classes at the SMfA (School of the Museum of FIne Arts, Boston) to further her skills in illustration and different types of media.
Her art is inspired by her kids, nature, yoga and all that is beautiful around us. She uses watercolor and collage for her illustrations and acrylics for larger pieces. You always find her happiest with loads of paint on her hands.
