Item Description
Kick off your 2021 with one bottle 2011 J. Schram sparkling wine (750ml) and a 2017 J. Davies Cabernet Sauvignon, Diamond Mountain District, Estate Grown (750 ml), and once you are done celebrating it's time to dive into your French Laundry Cookbook (or just marvel at the photography).
The 2011 J. Schram Rosé immediately pleases the eye with its copper tinged, pale salmon color. It opens with aromas of cherry and peach cobbler, balanced by aspects of baked pineapple, apricot, marzipan and roasted pear. Layers of candied citrus, lemon meringue and nectarine suffuse the palate, with honey and brown sugar adding additional complexity. Rich, fruitful and closing with a tangy long finish, this wine is truly a feast for the senses.Blend: 69% Chardonnay, 31% Pinot Noir
"The 2017 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with rich aromas of red cherry, boysenberry and milk chocolate accentuated with notes of cinnamon, chai spice and floral undertones. Well-structured tannins anchor the wines palate where the juicy entry of black cherry and red currant lead to a smooth finish with hints of pepper, anise, mint and oolong tea."
- Winemakers Sean Thompson, Hugh Davies and Celia Welch
