One 60-minute Float at True REST Float Spa in Napa

Float therapy is a powerful tool for wellness, relaxation, pain relief and better sleep. As with any therapy, with regular use its benefits are enhanced. Stress, tension and pain have formed over time and it will take some time to experience the greatest relief—luckily, floating is a relaxing, fun, and effortless way to do so!

Float therapy offers relief and benefits which are cumulative—they build on themselves with each subsequent session. We like to say “the more you float, the better it gets,” as floats themselves deepen beyond the first session. Though flotation is an “effortless” therapy, the body and mind actually learn how to relax into the float with each session.

For these reasons, we encourage guests to return to floating more than once and to receive sessions on a regular basis to maintain their benefits.

Upon arrival, you will be shown to your own private float suite where you will shower and enter your own float pod for a 60-minute float. While floating in 200 gallons of skin-temperature water with 1,000 pounds of dissolved Epsom salts, you will experience a departure from the persistent downward pull of gravity. The pure experience is floating with no light, no sound, no temperature (touch), no smell, no taste, and what feels like no gravity. This results in stimulus reduction.

In this unique environment, it might be the first time you have experienced a break from sensory input. In this state, you significantly reduce the workload that the brain and central nervous system normally perform. The heart rate slows down, the respiratory rate slows down, muscles and tendons relax, the spine elongates and straightens, and circulation improves. While your mind is learning to relax (an incredible benefit of a floating practice), your body is soaking up amazing magnesium sulfate goodness to help reduce pain and swelling. During your float you may fall asleep and get much-needed rest; you may remain awake and really soak in the experience; and you may drift into the blissful in-between theta brain-wave state and experience its intense relaxation benefits. Relax, surrender, let go, and see what happens.

After your 60-minute float, you will shower again to rinse off the Epsom salts and get dressed. You can then proceed to the prep room to finish preparing for the rest of your day and then spend some time in the lounge area.

Winning bidders located in Northern California may pick up their items in Napa at a location and date to be arranged -- details will be emailed to winning bidders. Items not picked up by March 5 will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Note that we will automatically mail gift cards and gift certificates for free -- no need to pick those up.)

Items purchased by bidders residing outside of Northern California will be shipped on or around Tuesday, February 9, unless you tell us that you wish to pick up your item. Purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Gift cards and gift certificates ship for free.)
