Cory Michael Smith is an actor and producer, known for Utopia (2020), Gotham (2014) and Carol (2015).

Cory is a talented actor and producer and a lot of fun to be around! Cory is a frequent visitor to Ptown and the Provincetown International Film Festival. Cory is also an avid reader and purchases books from East End Books Ptown & other indie bookstores.

In an adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's seminal novel The Price of Salt, CAROL follows two women from very different backgrounds who find themselves in an unexpected love affair in 1950s New York. As conventional norms of the time challenge their undeniable attraction, an honest story emerges to reveal the resilience of the heart in the face of change.

Cory Michael Smith is an actor and producer, known for Utopia (2020), Gotham (2014) and Carol (2015).

Career:

Cory Michael Smith recently starred in the Amazon series UTOPIA, from Gillian Flynn. He earned Critics Choice and Gold Derby nominations for his appearance opposite Frances McDormand in the award-winning HBO Miniseries OLIVE KITTERIDGE, and is well-known for having played 'The Riddler' on the hit Fox series GOTHAM for 5 seasons, for which he was nominated for a Teen Choice Award.

His film credits include Todd Haynes' films CAROL and WONDERSTRUCK, Damien Chazelle's FIRST MAN, and Yen Tan's poignant film, 1985, which he also executive produced. 

Cory made his Broadway debut in Breakfast at Tiffany's, starring opposite Emilia Clarke. His other theater credits include the U.S. premiere of "Cock" a.k.a. "The Cockfight Play" by Mike Bartlett Off-Broadway, the World and NY Premieres of "The Whale" by Samuel D. Hunter, and the NY Premiere of "The Shaggs: Philosophy of the World."


Cory also narrated an episode of The New York Times' Modern Love Podcast live at the Provincetown International Film Festival, for which he read Kalle Oskari Mattila's essay about catfishing.
