Item Description
I will compose an original song on a mutually-interesting topic and deliver an acoustic/guitar vocal recording. Other deliverables are available if desired, e.g. live debuts, videos, handwritten lyrics, and chord charts.
Item Special Note
I take custom songs seriously, so the winning bidder should be prepared for extensive back and forth and possibly some soul-searching. See my custom songs website, www.songsonoccasion.com, for numerous examples along with testimonials.
Here's what last year's winner had to say:
"There is a fable called stone soup in which a traveler arrives in a village that is starving an offers to make something he calls stone soup. One by one the villagers each contribute something and then the community collectively enjoys a wonderful meal all together.
I think Bob Hillman makes rock soup. He takes the ingredients of your life, the details that count, and mixes them into song. Like the traveler he can bring out the best of anyone. For us he went into the Bible, TV, and other lands of possibilities.
I think his secret is asking about the truth. Whether a song is funny or sad (and he can write either) in order for a song to resonate it needs the truth . Though I guess in order for it to be country it needs three chords as well.
2020 has been a rocky year for most. To find someone who can take all this angst and spin something wonder truly is a fable."
