Deb Jenkins is a Colorado native. Nature was her childhood playground. Nature feeds her soul and inspires her art. Deb is a sculptor and painter. Creating animal art gives Deb the opportunity to look closer and see the world through different eyes. She has discovered that nature has wonderful surprises for those willing to look. Her hope is that her art will inspire the same wonder and curiosity for the viewer. Her art is exhibited in many galleries an in private collections around the U.S. and Canada.
Snow Owl, Bubo scandiacus. The Snowy Owl used for this painting was originally caught at an airport in Ontario in 2014 as a sub-adult. It was banded and relocated. In 2018, he was found in a field in Indiana with a fracture of his right wing and possible eye trauma. He was taken to a local rehabilitation facility to heal. Unfortunately, his injuries were such that he would not be able to return to the wild. He was then transferred to an educational facility to share his beauty and conservation message with others.
