KING OF THE JUNGLE-A Stained Glass Elephant Suncatcher
Celebrate your love of elephants with this large detailed and gorgeous hand-made artisan stained glass elephant suncatcher. It is beautifully designed and composed of 16 pieces of grey and cream stained glass all carefully copper foiled, soldered and finished with a shiny oil-rubbed bronze patina. There is subtle variation in the glass that shows beautifully when it is hung directly in the sun. It is hung from a chain and measures 10 inches including the black chain, 8.5 inches across the widest part of the head, 8.5 inches from top to bottom (not including the hanger) and 4 inches across the bottom.
DISPLAYING THE SUNCATCHER: *It comes with a large plastic suction cup hanger for glass if you want to hang it in a window. Or you can hang it from the chain on a lovely complementary hook on a wall sitting in direct sunlight to also show off the nuances of the stained glass. Alternatively, you could have an elegant hook on the window frame/just above it with a similar chain hanging down to attach to the chain on the elephant and hang right in front of the window without the worry that the suction cup might give out some day! Or you could you multiple loops of invisible fishing line to attach to the hook on the window frame/just above it if you want the illusion of it floating without worry that the suction cup might 'give out'. Some people prefer the look of the stained glass against an opaque surface like a wall and others prefer the more ethereal look of having sun pass through it.
