Step away from the computer—(but not too far) for a refreshing 30 minutes of YOU time, breathing, shaking and moving. Based in GYROTONIC® and Pilates, this work is perfect for a mid-afternoon or mid-morning break from you work-at-home routine. Sit up, wake up, shape up. Your spine will love you!
Make it a class or make it personal—you choose! Spinal mobility, ab buster, ballet (!) or all of the above.
You’ll just need a stool or chair maybe a mat, zoom and yourself for this invigorating introduction to mobility, flexibility and strength. You thought you couldn’t have fun on Zoom? Let me show you how!
One month of weekly 30-minute sessions by Karen Safrit, Elemental Music Development Associate and alumni mom!
As a young, competitive figure skater, Karen found her passion: momentum.
Performing with contemporary dance company, Nikolais and Murray Louis Dance, studying with contemporary, classical and jazz dance legends and earning a Master of Fine Arts degree at NYU, Karen embarked early on in a mission to understand movement in many forms. She has choreographed, studied, trained and taught in many disciplines, loving all levels of body artistry--all ages, and all stages.
Karen considers her specialty intelligent body conditioning—drawing from dance, GYROTONIC® foundation work, partnering and parenting, hiking, gardening, and life in the city.
Item Special Note
Once initiated, four classes should be scheduled and completed one month from initiation. Offered virtually.
