Item Description

Whippoorwill Club is a private club in Armonk, New York, set on 170 acres of majestic Westchester land. Founded in 1928, the course is regularly ranked one of the top courses in the country.

The heritage and tradition of the Whippoorwill Club dates back to the mid-1920s when Donald Ross, a leading golf course architect, designed the course. At that time Ross was at the pinnacle of his career and the most recognized architect of his day. In 1928, Charles Banks assumed responsibility for the course's final design. It is said that remodeling of more than thirty golf courses from 1921 until his death in 1931, believed Whippoorwill to be his masterpiece.

Today, Whippoorwill stands as a testament to Charles Banks. Magnificent in its beauty and design, Whippoorwill is truly one of the great golf courses in the Northeast. Click here for an article regarding Whippoorwill being a top 100 course in the country.
