Item Description
Believe - San Francisco, California by Betty Rivard
11" x 14" Photograph in a 16" x 20" Museum-quality Black Wood Frame with Archival Mat and Conservation Clear Glass.
"It was taken at the foot of Chinatown, going toward the Ferry Building on the bay. If you look to the left you can see Coit Tower on Russian Hill at the end of the street. I was focused primarily on the sign but I was also very pleased by the composition with the angles of the buildings and the inclusion of the Chinese sign from the shop. I know some viewers have told me that they find this photograph to be inspiring, which can be helpful. I grew up and went to school partly in San Francisco and the Bay Area and had gone back to visit and roam around while on a trip to see my sons in southern California. I was staying in a hotel that was within walking distance from Chinatown. I spent a day walking around and photographing in this neighborhood on my way to the Ferry Building to catch the ferry to Sausalito on a mostly rainy day."
